Underground at the Dime, 1265 Griswold St., Detroit

DeAnna Carpenter is a singer, songwriter and lover of life who expresses herself through word, sound and movement. A native of Detroit, DeAnna returns to her beloved hometown to release and perform original music from her anticipated first music project, Tsunami. A feel-good album with a lot of soul and introspection, Tsunami features songs written by DeAnna that takes the listener on a journey of self discovery.

Her first performance as a solo artist in her hometown, DeAnna is excited to return to the place that infused in her dedication, persistence, hustle, family, culture and importantly, music. And, she's eager to feature and perform with musicians and artists from Detroit, most of whom she went to school with and graduated from Cass Tech High School with. Be prepared to experience and be taken on a musical journey, one that will have you leaving the Dime feeling lifted, loved, inspired and seen.

Show opens with a 15-minute set by Detroit artist GCA$H ATALL.

There will be a CD signing and "Meet the Artist" immediately following the end of the show.

Bring lots of love and good vibes, and be prepared to receive both (and so much more) in return!
